Margaret A. Moran

Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer

Margaret A. Moran, Founder and CEO of KidsTerrain, Inc. has more than twenty-five years of experience in the health care industry. She has held several senior marketing and product development positions for provider systems, insurance companies, and managed care organizations.

As Senior Vice President of Marketing and Program Development and Chief Operating Officer for Choate Health Systems/Management, Inc., a behavioral health care hospital and system of care, Ms. Moran directed the company from a $2 million operation to a $35 million company.

Ms. Moran has worked with various children's programs including Head Start in several Massachusetts communities, inpatient and outpatient pediatric programs at several hospitals including McLean and Cambridge City, and has worked with school systems in Middlesex County to provide behavioral health care services to children.

Ms. Moran is a registered nurse who received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Master of Science degree in Health Services Administration from Emmanuel College. She has served on the board of the Association for Ambulatory Behavioral Health Care and has been a guest speaker and lecturer at numerous national AABH and IBH conferences and seminars.

She is the co-author of "How One Managed Care Organization Collaborated with Providers to Create a Public Sector Continuum of Care," Continuum: The Journal for AABH and a co- author of "Access to the System of Care," in The Integrated Behavioral Health Continuum: Theory and Practice, Kiser, Lefkovitz, Kennedy (Eds.).

Ms. Moran has published three children's stories through New Voices Publishing. The Magic in Me, Aunt Rosa's House, and Someone Took Vanessa's Bike. A fourth story, Afraid of the Dark, is available as an e-book on the KidsTerrain-at-Home Bookstore page.

Ellen Gilmartin

Co-founder

Ellen Gilmartin, co-founder of KidsTerrain, Inc., has more than twenty-five years experience in finance and business management, as well as ten years experience in pediatrics and home health care nursing.

She is the controller for several small companies and has owned and managed several successful businesses.

As head nurse of the pediatric unit at Cambridge City Hospital she was instrumental in teaching physicians, nurses, families, and children themselves how to care for children while in the hospital and during their recovery at home.

Ms. Gilmartin believes that teaching children to be an active part of their treatment program yields positive outcomes. Her patience and keen ability to listen and talk to kids has enamored her to children.

Her work with kids has strengthened her belief that listening and talking to kids gives them encouragement to communicate and to ask the questions they need to ask without being intimidated or fearful.

Rena Hannaford

President

A seasoned executive with entrepreneurial and corporate experience, Ms. Hannaford brings to KidsTerrain a breadth of knowledge in business management, product design and implementation and leadership.

Ms. Hannaford received her undergraduate degree in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University and holds an MBA from Babson College. She was the co-founder of Quadrant Health Strategies, an innovative occupational and environmental health company specializing in developing and implementing strategies to address workers’ health issues.

Prior to founding Quadrant, Ms. Hannaford served in several senior level operations and sales management positions at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Massachusetts. Additionally, she also provided health care consulting services to a vast array of clients including: an innovative psychiatric system of care, where she developing marketing plans to ensure strategic positioning within a dynamic marketplace; and an entrepreneurial practice management group, where she evaluated and recommended workflow design and other procedural changes to medical providers to gain efficiencies.

A results-oriented individual with effective communication skills, Ms Hannaford will pilot KidsTerrain with the leadership and vision she brought so successfully to other enterprises.
