Board of Directors

Beth P. Charest is a successful entrepreneur, having successfully founded one service industry business and just recently launched a successful artistic enterprise. She has held several positions in the healthcare industry in management, marketing, employee benefits, employee relations and as an account executive. Beth brings to the board a spirit of enthusiasm, high achievement, entrepreneurship and creativity.

Lawrence H. Cohen a CPA and KidsTerrain’s Chief Financial Officer has provided interim finance services to early stage through mid-market clients. He has been instrumental in assisting clients in securing debt and equity financing, improving financial management, and internal control systems. Additionally, Larry provides financial due diligence services and develops financial models.

He is a founding partner of Sterling Resources, LLC, a firm providing management and consulting services for the healthcare sectors. Before forming Sterling Resources, he was the CFO of Aperio, Inc., a database marketing firm, and prior to that, was the Chief Financial Officer of Choate Health Systems, Inc., a for-profit holding company of owned hospitals and manager of non-owned hospitals.

Larry completed his undergraduate education in business administration at Drexel University, received his license in Certified Public Accounting in 1985, and completed his MBA at Babson College.

Jane Emerson Farrell has held a number of school nursing positions over the last 25 years. She received her degree in Nursing from Boston College and has taken a number of courses in crisis management, critical care, child, family, and adolescent nursing. Jane is married to a grade school teacher and is the mother of three children and a grandmother. Jane brings to the board her wisdom as a parent, her experience as a school nurse, and her keen ability to identify and discuss the important needs of children, parents, schools, and other caring individuals.

Rena Hannaford received an undergraduate degree in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University and holds an MBA from Babson College. Now serving as KidsTerrain’s president, Rena is a seasoned executive with entrepreneurial and corporate experience. She has held several senior management positions in both operations and marketing.

Rena was the co-founder of Quadrant Health Strategies, an innovative occupational and environmental health company specializing in developing and implementing strategies to address workers’ health issues.

A results-oriented individual with effective communication skills, Rena brings to the board a breadth of knowledge in entrepreneurship, management, and leadership.

Mark C. Kelley is the principal owner of Longpoint, a collaborative consulting and professional coaching company. With more than twenty-five years of results-oriented experience in the health insurance and managed care industries, Mark brings to the board a breadth of knowledge in marketing, sales, product plan concepts and development, leadership and creativity.

Mark has held several senior management positions in operations, sales and marketing. He sits on several boards and in 1996 was recognized by the Boston Jaycees with a Ten Outstanding Young Leaders of Boston Award. He is a graduate of Providence College and holds an MBA from Boston College. He is also a graduate of the Duke University Fuqua School of Business Executive Leadership Forum.

Christopher L. White is a partner in an international law firm where he focuses his practice on healthcare regulatory issues. He is a graduate of Wake Forest University and received his law degree from Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law. Admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, he has argued before the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the District of Columbia and Eighth Circuits and various Federal courts.

A father of three daughters, Chris brings to the board legal advice and parental wisdom, public relations, leadership, creativity and a high level of enthusiasm and commitment.
